The Learning Tree School is a Christian early childhood center open to children of all faiths, race, creed and national or ethnic origin. Basic biblical teachings of Jesus Christ are implemented into the developmentally geared program. Many moral and value lessons are also incorporated into the program. Since 1981, the Learning Tree School, a non-denominational school located in Buffalo, Wyoming,

has provided early childhood education to children ages three through kindergarten. Buffalo is a community of approximately 4,000 residents located in northeast Wyoming at the base of the Big Horn Mountains. The Learning Tree School is the only comprehensive early childhood school in the area. It began providing preschool two mornings a week in a church basement in Buffalo where no other preschool was available. Every year it has grown in numbers and gained in reputation as an established preschool where children learn, grow, develop, and are prepared for entrance to the public school classroom. We have three fully certified teachers, three instructional assistants and over twenty volunteers (mostly parents, but other interested, responsible adults as well) who spend time in the various classrooms each week. Even with the addition of a preschool at the local daycare and a Headstart program, the Learning Tree School continues to thrive. Every year classes are filled and waiting lists continue to grow with many parents making the commitment to a 30-45 minute one way drive (1 -1½ hour round trip) to transport their children to this school. The Learning Tree School is a fully inclusive, developmentally based program aligned with Wyoming’s Early Childhood State Standards.

3/4s:

- 1 package of colored card stock
- 2 (4oz) bottles of Elmer’s glue
- 1 box of tissues
- 1 box of sandwich baggies w/ flip top (no zipper close)

Pre-K
- Updated immunization record or waiver
- 8 skinny black dry erase markers
- 2 glue sticks
- 1 blunt Fiskars scissors (please write child’s name on scissors with permanent marker)
- 2 (4oz) bottles of Elmer’s white glue
- 1 package of 6” uncoated paper plates

Our very dear friend, avid volunteer and supporter of the Learning Tree Christian School passed away last week. We are saddened to share this news, but rejoice that she is now with her Lord. Her funeral service is being held Friday, April 17th, 2 pm at Harness Funeral Home.
