Mt. Mercy Academy Athletic Boosters

Congrats to our Track and Field team for capturing the MMHSAA All-Catholic Championship this weekend to go along with their Regular Season Championship!! Congrats to the team on an amazing season!

Magic Athletics have a busy week of action!

Track and Field- Mercy will travel to St. Francis to face Gow School and St. Mary's on Monday (5/11) with a chance to take sole possession of the Regular Season Division title! The team will be back at St. Francis this weekend for the All-Catholic Meet.

Flag Football- Football will have two games this week as the team hosts Iroquois on Monday (5/11) at Mulroy Park at 7:00 pm before traveling to face Sacred Heart at Dobson Field (D'Youville) on Friday (5/15) at 5:00 pm.

Softball- Varsity Softball has three games this week. The team will travel to Nardin on Tuesday (5/12) at 4:30pm before facing Charter School of Applied Tech on Wednesday (5/13) at Expressway Park. Mercy will return home to face Sacred Heart at Okell Park on Friday (5/15).

Mercy Athletics keep rolling this week!

Softball has two games this week as the team travels to the Northtowns Center to face Sacred Heart on Monday (4/27) before hosting Mount St. Mary's at Okell Park on Wednesday (4/29). First pitch is at 4:30 pm for both games.

Flag Football has one game this week as the team travels to face Our Lady of Mercy at 5:00 pm on Tuesday (4/28)

Track and Field will have two events this week. The team will travel to St. Francis HS for a duel meet with O'Hara and CCA on Wednesday (4/29) at 4:30 pm before heading out to Falconer on Friday (5/1) for the Golden Falcon Invitational.

Lacrosse will have two matches under the lights this week. The team will travel to Dobson Field at D'Youville to face Sacred Heart at 7:30 pm before hosting Nichols on Friday (5/1) at Pierce Field at 7:00 pm.

Congrats to Senior Ava Barning who celebrated Senior Night yesterday at Classic Lanes!

Mercy Basketball will celebrate Senior Night this evening at Mount Mercy! Mara and Claire will be honored in a brief ceremony before the game around 6pm. The Magic will tip-off against Buffalo Sem at 6:30 pm.

Magic Athletics return to a full slate of action this week!

Bowling- The Bowling team has two matches this week.. The team will face Cardinal O'Hara on Tuesday (1/6) and Buffalo Seminary on Thursday. Both matches will be played at Classic Lanes in Tonawanda at 3:45 pm.

Indoor Track and Field- Indoor track will have two meets this week. On Friday (1/9), the team will compete at Buff State. There will be a Varsity select meet at Houghton University on Saturday (1/10).

Basketball- Varsity and JV basketball will have a busy week. Our JV squad will play a home game against Sacred Heart on Monday (1/5) at 5:30 pm before traveling to Tonawanda HS on Friday to face the Timberwolves. Both games will tip-off at 5:30 pm.

Varsity basketball will play three games this week. After hosting Sacred Heart on Monday (1/5) at 7:00pm, the team will have two road contests. The team will travel to play Park on Wednesday (1/7) at 5:00 pm followed by a game against Tonawanda on Friday (1/9) at 7:00 pm.

Congrats to the Nativity Girls Basketball team for defeating Notre Dame in the finals of the annual Mercy Magic Christmas Classic!! Natalie Comerford #9 was named the MVP of the tournament! Special thanks to Manzella Orthodontics for their amazing support of our tournament and Mount Mercy!!!

Mercy Sports are back!! Our Winter regular season games and matches officially start today!!

Bowling-
Our bowling team will have two matches this week at Classic Lanes. The team will face Nardin at 3:45 pm on Tuesday (12/2) and Cardinal O’Hara on Thursday (12/4) at 3:45 pm.

Basketball-
JV and Varsity basketball will tip-off on Tuesday (12/2) at home against Lakeshore. JV begins at 5:30 pm followed by Varsity at 7:00 pm. Both teams will participate on the West Seneca Tournament this week as well. On Wednesday (12/3), JV will travel to WS East to play at 5:30 pm. Varsity will play at WS West at 6:30 pm on Wednesday (12/3)

All-Catholic Time!!

The All-Catholic honorees for Volleyball and Soccer were announced and Mount Mercy is well represented!

Senior Outside Hitters Taylor Ferris and Riley Coughlin were named to the MMHSAA Volleyball All-Catholic team!

Seniors defenders Emma Godsoe, Senior Olivia Gorczyca, Senior forward Brianna McCaslin, Junior Brailey Zimmer, Freshman Midfielder Teagan Ferris and Freshman midfielder Shaiya Esford were all named to the Division B Soccer All-Catholic team! Gorczyca was also named the Division B Player of the Year!

Congrats to Coach Maddie Higgins and the Mercy Varsity Soccer team for capturing the Division B Championship!! The Magic defeated Mount St Mary’s 10-0. The team will now travel to Brooklyn next weekend to compete for a state title! Great job!!
