On Tuesday Westminster celebrated our 9th annual reading invasion!

Last Friday, Westminster Community Charter School 8th graders celebrated their awards night and dance!

Students received awards for accomplishments in the arts, clubs, and various subjects. They finished out the night dancing and celebrating their time at Westminster together!

We are proud to announce that Jillian Dutchess, one of our kindergarten teachers at Westminster Community Charter School, has been named a recipient of the Bob Thompson Excellence in Energy Education Award.

This award is given each year to a teacher who exemplifies Bob Thompson’s childlike wonder of science and energy. It includes a $1,000 cash grant for the teacher to use in the classroom and on an all-expenses paid trip to the NEED Energy Conference for Educators hosted each July.

Last week, the new M&T Bank Customer Asset Management (CAM) summer interns came to volunteer with Buffalo Promise Neighborhood at Westminster Community Charter School!

The interns trimmed bushes, pulled weeds, and planted flowers to make the school’s grounds beautiful.

Thank you to Eve McMullen and the CAM interns for making a meaningful impact on our school community!
