Meet Mel, your Journey into Acting and Journey into Musicals teacher!

“I used to be in an all-girl band in NYC—and we even made an album! I’ve been doing theatre for more than 25 years…and I still get nervous before auditions.
My playlist can go from Broadway → Dolly Parton → ’90s alternative rock without warning. I just grew a sunflower that is about 10 feet tall. I have three daughters, so there is basically always singing, dancing, or some kind of performance happening at my house.”
