Today marked the final day of faculty and staff development for the 2025–2026 school year and the last day our faculty and staff will be together on campus before summer. It was also an opportunity to celebrate two remarkable women whose dedication, care, and commitment have left a lasting impact on the St. Joe’s community.

We are deeply grateful for the 15 years Laura Seiferth spent serving St. Joe’s in our Main Office. Through her tireless work behind the scenes, Laura helped keep the daily life of our school running smoothly while providing invaluable support to our President, Principal, and Board of Trustees. Her kindness, dedication, and steady presence have been a gift to our entire community.

We were also honored to celebrate Cathy Kaczmarek and her 18 years of service to St. Joe’s. As a member of our Math Department and through her countless contributions across school life, Cathy has helped shape the experiences of countless students and has made our community stronger in so many ways.

Laura and Cathy, thank you for the gifts you have shared with St. Joe’s, the lives you have touched, and the example you have set for all of us. Your impact will be felt at 845 Kenmore Ave for years to come.

Please join us in congratulating Cathy and Laura on their well-deserved retirements. You will both be missed greatly.

Following lunch, Vice President of Advancement Dan Warner ’06 led attendees on a tour of campus, offering a firsthand look at the spaces shaping the next generation of Marauders.

Alumni Weekend continued Saturday morning with two great traditions: the 2nd Annual Alumni Pickleball Tournament, hosted by Bill Schukraft ’05, and the Alumni Soccer Game, hosted by Coach Thoin.

It was a competitive morning on both the courts and the pitch as Marauders from across generations came together for some friendly competition and Brotherhood. The Pickleball Tournament featured a championship rematch from last year, with Tim O’Brien ’81 successfully defending his title, alongside a new partner this year, Hans Kollerkupp ’89.

Following the soccer match, players gathered at Curry’s across Kenmore Avenue to enjoy lunch, reconnect with old friends, and share plenty of stories from their days at St. Joe's.

Thank you to Bill, Coach Thoin, and everyone who helped make the morning such a memorable part of Alumni Weekend.

Friday evening of Alumni Weekend brought Marauders and Mounties together at Big Ditch Brewing Company for a memorable night of reminiscing and celebrating the friendships that have endured long after graduation.

It was great to see graduates from both St. Joe’s and Mount St. Mary Academy gather in the heart of downtown Buffalo to share stories, enjoy great food and drinks, and strengthen the bonds that continue to connect our two communities. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a special evening during Alumni Weekend.

Alumni Weekend is off to a tremendous start!

On Thursday evening, we proudly welcomed five outstanding Marauders into the St. Joe’s Sports Hall of Fame. Surrounded by family, friends, teammates, and fellow alumni, we celebrated their remarkable achievements, lasting impact on St. Joe’s Athletics, and the way they have continued to represent our Brotherhood long after their time on Kenmore Ave.

Congratulations to our newest Hall of Fame inductees:

• Devon E. Dawson ’06
• William H. Hilbert ’16
• Julian Z. Olin ’12
• V. Christopher Potenza ’94
• Keith H. Waldron ’73

While Chris was unable to join us in person, it was a memorable evening honoring five men whose accomplishments have earned them a permanent place in Marauder history.
