On Wednesday evening, we were excited to welcome the sophomore class from Sacred Heart Academy to St. Joe’s for a kickball tournament with our Class of 2028 Marauders.

It was a beautiful night filled with friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and new connections. After the games, everyone gathered together to enjoy pizza and pop as the fun continued.

A special thank you to Dr. Thompson for serving as a chaperone, and to Mr. Lomeo ’07 and Sacred Heart Academy Sophomore Class Moderator Mrs. Maria Clare SHA ’95 for their partnership in planning and making this event such a success year after year. We’re grateful for opportunities like these that bring students together, foster new friendships, and strengthen our community.

The passing of our brother, Dominic Strangio ’28, earlier this spring was a heartbreaking loss for the St. Joe’s community. While we continue to miss him deeply, we remain grateful for the time we were blessed to share with Dominic and for the example he set through his courage, kindness, and joyful spirit.

On the last day of classes for the school year, we gathered as a Brotherhood to dedicate and plant a tree in Dominic’s memory. The tree, a Crimson King Maple, will emerge each spring with vibrant maroon leaves, a fitting tribute to Dominic and the love he had for St. Joe’s. In the years ahead, as it grows and takes root on our campus, it will stand as a lasting reminder of the impact Dominic had on so many and the way he lived each day with strength and grace.

We were grateful to have Dominic’s family with us for this special ceremony. Please continue to keep them in your prayers as we remember and celebrate the life of our brother.
