Last week part of our E-board was invited to the The SPCA Serving Erie County, NY annual Pack Leader Social for our donation from last years fundraisers. We were very honored to be recognized by the organization and happy to represent the Medaille Vet Tech Club!

On Friday April 28th, the Medaille Vet Tech Club Executive Board joined at Nickel City Canine Rescue to present a $2,000 donation to benefit the nonprofits mission to rescue displaced and unwanted dogs at risk of euthanasia. Thanks to the community and Medaille family support, we were able to raise these funds through our dog wash events, tabling at Bark Bash over the summer, and true donations to our club.

Last night, members of the Vet Tech Club attended the annual SGA Awards Banquet. Thanks to all of your support, the Medaille Vet Tech Club earned an award for Student Organization of the Year! We all appreciate your support and recognition.
We are a student-run organization aimed to provide many different activities and events during the school year, promote education on wildlife, pet care and animal husbandry.
We could not have won this award without the support from our Medaille friends and Family and for that, we thank you all!!

Good morning Medaille Friends and Family!!
Thank you to everyone who came out to our dog wash this weekend, and thank you to all of the volunteers for donating your time.
Every semester, the Medaille Vet Tech Club hosts a free dog wash open to the community (with proof of rabies vaccination). We also offer additional services at a fee, a basket raffle, and items for sale.
All of our proceeds this year will be donated to Nickel City Canine Rescue, a local non-profit volunteer run canine rescue.
With your support, our dog wash raised ovet $700 in funding for the rescue. We are very excited as this exceeds our goal for our overall donation this year (stay tuned for the full amount!)

We normally have our tent and check in tables at the front but with the wind we had to move inside. Please enter our main building doors WITH YOUR PROOF OF RABIES VACCINATION AND YOUR DOG ON A LEASH!!

This is a reminder that our dog wash is THIS SATURDAY April 1st from 11-3pm. No appointment necessary. FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS!

This is a free event but there are additional services and items for sale to help raise money for Nickel City Canine Rescue.
We are also hosting a basket raffle! The baskets are
Dog Toy Bin - toy bin, blanket, grooming supplies, leash and collar, treats and toys
Cat Bed and Basket - small basket that turns into a bed with a cushion, blanket, grooming supplies, treats and toys
Lottery tree - $25 in lottery tickets on a rose quarts photo stand, comes with a protector bag as well for the stand
Easter Basket - full of snacks, candy, and small toys and trinkets, also comes with an easter bunny plush
WNY Raptor Basket - graciously donated by Medailles Life Sciences Club

Hey Club Members!
Our Semi-Annual Dog Wash is approaching! This is a great way to help give back to our community while raising money for Nickel City Canine Rescue! Let your friends and family know that this event will take place on April 1st from 11am-3pm. All breeds and sizes of dogs are welcome as long as they bring PROOF OF UP-TO-DATE RABIES VACCINATION. We are offering Nail Trims for 10$ and A**l Gland expressions for 20$. We will also be offering photo booth pictures for 5$! There will also be a basket raffle during this event that you can enter to win!
We are looking for volunteers of any majors, if you are interested please sign up outside of SC-216. We need student volunteers to help with washing dogs, keeping on top of laundry, checking in dogs, and running the photo booth! Let all of your friends know that they do not need to be a vet tech student to volunteer their time! As this event will be Easter themed we are looking for volunteers who would be willing to wear our Easter Bunny Suit for our new photo booth area! Ideally we are looking for two volunteers for this job, so one person does not have to wear the suit for the entire event! Pizza, snacks and drinks will be provided, as well as all volunteers will be entered into winning a Vet Tech Club Fleece! If you have any medical conditions please let Trish Carr ( [email protected] ) know prior to the event! An email will be going out to all volunteers prior to the event with more details and job assignments!
