I had a blast last night at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum challenging the community to test their executive functioning skills and learn more about how these skills impact them everyday. It was fun, engaging and such a beautiful space filled with kindness and wonder. We could use much more of both of those these days.
More exciting announcements to come!

Come visit me at the AKG Museum in Buffalo, NY, this Friday for some educational, interactive fun! My new workbook will be for sale (handmade with recycled paper by Papercraft Miracles).
Last night I had my first class for a new skill, how to pitch to big businesses. (I want to support neurodivergent professionals in an accessible way, i.e., their jobs pay for the coaching.) At the end of the class, we were tasked to write a 1-minute elevator pitch and touch on who we are, what we do, what problem we solve and what makes us extraordinary in the way we solve the problems. I wrote three pages of thoughts and now need to turn that into 3 sentences.
This challenge represents one of my core issues: how to explain what I do and the impact I make with enough clarity and precision that someone can walk away from a quick soundbite and get it.
What is the problem I solve? An unbalanced life that feels out of control.
What do I do? Help you change your life. (too vague)
How do I do it? By creating a loving and accepting space, building trust, and getting to know how your brain works, we can build a bridge together.
What makes me stand out over other EF Coaches? Besides being one of the only ones in my entire city, it is my depth of experience in various industries, including 25 years in the educational space, along with my own personal struggles and reliance on strong EF skills to help me survive.
This is a lot shorter than 3 pages, but I am going to keep refining.
Keep checking this space for updates and feel free to add notes!
My homework is due by next Tuesday.
:)
(I always tell my teenage clients to find at least 1 smart person per subject area they can text for help. You all are my person for this class.)

If you haven't listened to an episode of EFThis! yet, please listen to our latest episode out today. Let us hold you for a moment and give you some comfort.
This isn’t a “which is better?” episode. It’s a “what do I need right now?” conversation.
In this episode of EFThis!, Erin and Nancy break down the real differences—and powerful overlap—between therapy and executive function coaching. Not from a competitive lens, but from a compassionate one.
We talk about how therapy often helps people heal, process, and understand—while coaching helps people build skills, create systems, and turn insight into action. Because knowing why something is hard doesn’t always make it easier to do the thing—especially for neurodivergent brains.
Whether you’re a parent, student, or adult wondering which support makes sense (or if it might actually be both), this episode gives you language, clarity, and permission to choose support without shame.
Growth isn’t linear. Support doesn’t have to be singular.

Confession time. There are tasks that I put off for YEARS! I can't be the only one. A few of these tasks I know will move me forward in my career, but something (fear) holds me back. I began this year by facing one of those fears and completed all the requirements to be a certified women-owned business here in Erie County and soon, in NYS as well. It took over 18 months to gather the paperwork to prove that I actually do what I say I do. The process was time consuming and the work was not fun, but I did it because I have an amazing coach who supported me through the process.
Yes, I have a coach. Everyone could use one. It doesn't mean you are broken or less than. It means you recognize that life is hard and it doesn't have to be done all by yourself.
Do you need to be held accountable for tasks that feel insurmountable? Join me for weekly virtual co-working sessions. Days and times will vary, so check this link every week to see when they will be.

Additude Magazine has put out a list of things you can do to help your kids with homework. Do any of these seem realistic to you? Personally, for parents of teens, I like giving them the choice of how they want to be reminded and then respecting that boundary. Teenagers want autonomy while also knowing they are being supported if they fall. Would love to hear your thoughts if you have tried any of these tactics with your kiddos with ADHD.
