POWER-NET is a study to examine whether Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), a short-term therapy about telling your own story, helps kids to manage stressful life experiences.

We are looking for youths, ages 16-24 that receive services from the Compass house.

Phase 1:
We expect that participation in this first phase of the study will take a maximum of 1½ hours.
- This study will help us to learn more about how adolescents/young adults respond to stressful life experiences.
- This 1st Phase also will allow us to determine whether you should continue to Phase 2 (NET therapy).

Phase 2:
If you participate in Phase 2, you will meet with a therapist 1-2 times each week, for between 4 to 12 weeks.
Once you are finished with Phase 2, we will ask you to do 2 follow-up interviews, 1 month and 3 months later.
