Congratulations to our students who were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society this week!

On Friday, June 12th, the Mercy Hospital Foundation hosted a luncheon for all donors who raised or dedicated funds towards their new CT scanning machine.

South Buffalo Charter School was invited to attend as part of the proceeds from First Responder's Day went to this cause. Two of our student leaders attended to represent SBCS. Pictured are our Student Council President (left), Catholic Health President Joyce Markiewicz, and our Honor Society President (right).

Happy Flag Day! Our elementary students celebrated the day honoring the adoption of our flag on a beautiful Friday morning. 🇺🇸

Today, 40 students were recognized at our annual Royal Ball! 👑 Each month, four students who exemplify that month’s core value are selected. These values include areas like respect, kindness, courage, self-control, honesty, and determination, among others. Congratulations to all of our 2025-2026 Royalty! 🎉👏

We are excited to announce that we’ve extended our partnership with the Boys And Girls Club with free summer programming open to our students! 🤝☀️

On May 22nd, our school community came together for two big events. 🎉

First Responders Day 🚒 🚔
Our students raised $1,000 for the Mercy Hospital Foundation and the Buffalo Fire Department to have a chance at sliming their teacher! Over 32 staff members were slimed (Slime Time Live style!) and 2 staff members even had their heads shaved by students. We also wrapped up our final Unity Games alongside firefighters from the BFD and officers of the BPD.

Cultural Day 🌏
Organized by our IDEA Committee, students explored global traditions through a martial arts demonstration , a traditional lion dance, and lively musical performances.
