I spent the day, in Mexico with a man whose Mezcal I had no Prayer (at the time) of ever selling. I wanted to learn, I wanted the experience, I wanted to be the best I could be. Now, as fate would have it, I sell his Mezcal and am introducing the people in Buffalo NY to it.
A couple of years ago our Wine Manager, Ed Draves, spent the day tasting and learning about Mezcal with Erick Rodriguez owner and operator at Mezcal Almamezcalera. Ed made the trip to Mexico City just to meet and taste with him, the time, Erick's Mezcal was not available to us. Last week we were finally able to stock some of Erick's Almamezcalera Pal’Alma (3 types). It is in our reserve room (not on our website). Come on in, Ed would love to tell you about it.
