Muhammad School of Music Spring Strings
Muhammad School of Music (MSOM) is excited to announce MSOM Spring Strings!
Springtime is the perfect time to begin the exciting journey in the study of the Violin. MSOM is offering instruction on violin, viola, cello, string bass, piano, and guitar; with virtual and limited in-person slots available. All ages are welcome, 3 years through adult.
The MSOM Violin Explorers Class is an in-person class that meets weekly. The class is ideal for beginner to intermediate students ages 5 to 12; accommodations can be made for advanced children ages 6 and younger. Along with weekly instruction on the Violin, students will participate in community performances and engagements. All musical instruments and supplies are included in the program.
For those looking for individual one on one instruction, MSOM offers it’s private studies program. Both virtual and limited in-person slots available, this program is ideal for all ages and levels of ability. Youth to adult, beginner through professional players, and students from all over the country are invited to enroll.

For over 25 years Muhammad School of Music (MSOM) has been known for providing exceptional classical music instruction and performance experiences throughout Buffalo, Western New York, and nationwide. Muhammad School of Music (MSOM) was founded in 1999 in Buffalo, New York. MSOM serves hundreds of students from Buffalo, the larger Western New York region, and Southern Ontario (Canada), in addition to virtual students from all over the country. Founder and Maestro Henri Star Muhammad is an award winning Concert Violinist, Electric Guitarist, Pianist, Vocalist, Conductor, Composer, Studio Recording Artist, Author, Scholar, and nationally known Violin Instructor.
The MSOM Chamber Players and Maestro Henri Star have performed nationwide and have appeared in numerous television, radio, newspaper, and magazine features, as well as CD and Video recording projects. Henri Star Muhammad performs regularly with the Gateways African American Classical Music Festival Orchestra and with the Harlem Symphony Orchestra, in addition to collaborations with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Beverly Johnson, Minister Louis Farrakhan, Herbie Hancock, Stephanie Mills, Bill Cosby, the Stradivari Society, and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
