It is a place where artists, designers and architects actively learn, use and create, using life sciences technologies as their medium.

Coalesce is a place where artists, designers and architects actively learn, use and create, using life sciences technologies as their medium; scientists explore new forms or broader cultural meanings of their work; and philosophers, writers and social scientists interact in a tangible way with the processes of the life sciences. Full statement:
“EDGE is an international community of neuroscientists, artists, and interdisciplinary thinkers that actively amplifies research, creative projects, and scientific dialogue while fostering collaboration at the intersection of neuroscience and art.
We are excited to invite you to UAlbany’s first EDGE NeuroArt Nexus event on May 27th from 1:00–2:30 PM (ET), hosted in the D’Ambra Auditorium at the Life Sciences Research building of UAlbany and online for our global community.
Our guest speaker, Dr. Chanhee Choi (Assistant Professor of Digital Arts at UAlbany), is an internationally recognized artist and educator whose work spans experimental animation, XR, video games, and bio-sensor-driven interactive installations.
Dr. Choi will present her ongoing Remembrance project, which transforms dementia patient data into poetry, visual media, and interactive environments through brainwave sensors and customized bio-integrated technologies to explore memory, technology, and human experience.
This hybrid event will bring together students, faculty, artists, and researchers for an engaging talk, discussion, and networking opportunity focused on neuroscience, art, and emerging technology. Light refreshments will also be provided thanks to the Life Sciences Research at UAlbany.“
