Round 2 of 6th grade Explore Buffalo’s Canalside tours! What a beautiful day!

Teachers & Staff were surprised at their classroom doors this morning with a special delivery courtesy of FMS’ “a-dough-rable” admin! 🍩☕️

Half of the 6th graders at Franklin Middle went on a tour of Canalside on this beautiful, sunny day! Students learned about how the canal impacted the city of Buffalo and were able to make connections to the impact that technology had on the earliest civilizations.
Huge thanks to the docents at Explore Buffalo for giving our students the grand tour and even a ride on the historic carousel! 🌊🎠☀️

***IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING TOMORROW'S BUDGET VOTE & BOARD ELECTION***

Voting will take place inside the Hoover main entrance along Thorncliff Road. Voters may park along Thorncliff and enter through the main entrance (Door #1). Voting will NOT take place in the Hoover Middle School gymnasium as in previous years, so the Sheridan Drive entrance will NOT be able to be utilized for voting.

Voters will be able to utilize the bus loop in front of the school except from 7-9:15 a.m. and from 2-4 p.m. During these times, voters will have to find parking on the street. Voters are urged to avoid these times if possible. Voters will be able to park on both sides of Thorncliff.
