Did you know that while walking your brain releases "happy" chemicals like Serotonin and Dopamine, that can lift your mood both during and after your workout?
Walking OUTSIDE has also been shown to lower rates of depression more effectively than walking indoors.
A regular walking routine can lower chances of developing lung cancer by up to 30%.
Walking is a great way to develop your stamina and improve your breathing. If you're someone who gets tired after a few minutes of walking, try to incorporate walking in your daily life.
Stronger bones and good walking posture can also be achieved by simply walking every day.
On a nice day, I would always rather WALK someplace close, instead of driving there.
Another wonderful fact about walking - If you eat something and then you go for a 30 minutes walk, you will instantly burn the calories and get the food digested. That way, you are instantly warding off the extra calories, helping you stay FIT and HEALTHY !
Never will you have extra food in your body just lying around. You will digest it and burn the calories instantly.
Walking promotes blood pumping, which is not only good for the organs, but it is also good for your skin. once you start walking daily, your skin will begin to improve !
So, for those of you who lives in a warm place - Enjoy the outdoors!
And for those who do not, there's always the gym on those colder days ๐Ÿ˜†

You know what is the one thing I never leave the house without?
Well, yes my wallet and cell phone obviously, but more importantly - I never leave the house without a BOTTLE OF WATER !
Believe it or not, your body weight is about 60% water, according to the US Geological Survey. Your body uses water in all its cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate temperature and maintain other bodily functions.
Because your body loses water through breathing, sweating and digestion it's very important to rehydrate by drinking plenty of fluids and eating foods that contain water.
It may be very simple, but it is significant.
In a study of more than 18,000 American adults, people who drank just 1% more water a day, ate fewer calories and less saturated fat, sugar, sodium, and cholesterol.
Water can help fill us up, especially if we drink it before eating a meal.
It is recommended for Men to consume 3.7 Liters (15.5 cups) and for Women to get 2.7 Liters (11.5 cups) of fluids per day, which can come from water, beverages in general, and food (such as fruits and vegetables).
So, even though we live in stressful and demanding times, and it seems like we're ALWAYS in a hurry - Don't forget taking your bottle of Health, I mean Water, with you ! ๐Ÿ™‚

My little baby girl is so precious, she has her own little ways of falling asleep. among her favorites are scratching my skin with her finger nails, banging on my face, pulling my hair and other ways of torture ๐Ÿ˜†
Sleeping has become NOT an easy task for me๐Ÿ˜‚
Before having kids I used to sleep between 7-9 hours a night, which happens to also be the adequate sleep for adults according to the National Sleep Foundation.
As recommended by some health professionals, getting a good night's rest improves Productivity and Concentration.
Another important reason for getting a good night sleep is that the body heals during sleep.
Other benefits include: more energy, better coordination, faster speed and better mental functioning.
It can also help in preventing depression and improving calorie regulation. when a person does not sleep long enough, it can interfere with their body's ability to regulate food intake correctly.
So, for all you folks out there that can get those 7-9 hours of sleep at night - Enjoy it !!! Embrace it !! and try to make it a healthy habit. Well, until you have kids anyway๐Ÿ˜‚
And as for me - I will be back to my usual self soon enough๐Ÿ˜Š
