Over a week ago, the Trump Administration began signaling a possible freeze on child care funding across the country. We’re still waiting on details, but even a short delay could seriously impact child care providers, working families, and local economies.

So far, five states (MN, CA, CO, IL, and NY) have received letters raising concerns about fraud and placing new limits on how they can access their Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) dollars. Earlier this week, all states were also given new instructions on how to draw down these funds.
