Before colonization and the arrival of European missionaries, standards of dress among many Igbo communities were very different from the standards that many people consider "modest" today. Historical photographs and accounts show that it was not unusual for parts of the upper body to remain uncovered, particularly for women in certain communities.
Igbo men were not running around viewing women’s chest and asking them to show them their c***s!! Godforsaken Uchenna Bartholomew Arum useless dirt of a human! Ekperimacious dirty pig of a man born of a woman that should have closed her legs and omitted this calamity from befalling mankind!
The human body was not automatically viewed through a sexualized lens in the way that men like Uchenna encourages. What many people forget is that concepts of modesty are not universal.
The moment people see a woman's photo and notice that a part of her cleavage, chest, or skin is visible, many immediately abandon whatever message she may be sharing and rush to lecture her about modesty. While this culture didn’t start on my page, it ends here, don’t dare!!!.
