There is SO much to celebrate, learn, and honor, during Black History Month!
This primary source activity set is definitely my favorite resource to use. Students are engaged, ask questions, and actively learn. They also get to investigate "living" history, while understanding how to identify reliable sources.

Word on the street:
This Great Depression simulation has students running to their social studies class! (In all honesty, I actually have had a few students run, but MANY more eagerly wait to see what the simulation will bring each day 😅).
If you are teaching about the Great Depression -OR- a unit on budgeting and/or personal finance, this is a great way to make history come alive!
