Summer may be a break from the classroom, but our educators continue sharing their talents throughout the community. This summer, Cooper Middle School general music teacher Jennifer Stash is stepping into the role of Countess Lily Malevsky-Malevitch in Big Deal Productions' staging of "Anastasia: The Musical."

Adding to the fun, Mrs. Stash is performing alongside her husband, who plays Vlad Popov — Countess Lily's former love and partner in one of the show's most entertaining storylines!

Set against the backdrop of the Russian Empire and 1920s Paris, Anastasia is a heartwarming story of courage, identity and hope, featuring beloved songs like "Once Upon a December" and "Journey to the Past."

Join us in cheering on Mrs. Stash and supporting this wonderful local production presented in partnership with the Buffalo Grove Park District!

BIG changes are happening inside our Family and Consumer Science classroom this summer!

These spaces are being completely renovated from the ground up to create modern, engaging learning environments where our Cobras can develop valuable life skills through hands-on experiences.

What a wonderful night on Friday as we continued celebrating our eighth-grade students from Cooper Middle School and Jack London Middle School!

Both ceremonies were filled with proud families, supportive staff, and students marking an important milestone as they completed their time in District 21 and prepared for the transition to high school.

We are excited to share that full photo albums from all three ceremonies, including individual portraits of each graduate, will be available soon.

Incredibly proud of Alex's service to our Board over the past year. You've made a difference for our Cobras that will last for years to come!

As we close out the school year, we want to extend a huge thank you to our third cohort of Student Board Representatives for their leadership, perspective, and dedication to District 21 this year.

To Selma C. at Holmes, Farid S. at London and Alex K. at Cooper, thank you for serving as student voices at the Board of Education table and helping shape conversations that impact our schools and community.
