Today our classroom traveled all the way to the African savanna. 🦁🦒

Lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, big new words, even bigger questions. «Why is the neck so long?» «What do lions eat?» This is how learning begins at this age: with wonder, with curiosity, with a child leaning in to discover something brand new about the world.

Every animal was a doorway — into new vocabulary, new ideas, and the pure joy of finding out. 🌍

This week is Be Kind to Humankind Week, and it’s a good reminder that kindness in young children isn’t just taught with words. It’s built. 🤍

Long before a child can explain empathy, they’re absorbing it: from how safe they feel, from the adults they watch, from the gentle way big feelings get named and hard moments get repaired. Kindness grows in the everyday.

Game on at Children’s Land Palatine! 🏅
Racing through obstacle courses, balancing across beams, and discovering just how much their bodies can do. Underneath all the fun, our students were building real skills: coordination, focus, teamwork, and the quiet confidence that comes from trying something hard and doing it anyway.
And our team? They came to play — jerseys and all. 😄

There’s a question a lot of parents are sitting with lately: what will childhood feel like in a world of screens? 🤍

We think about it too. And every week, the answer shows up in our room — in paint-soaked balloons pressed onto paper, in cotton smoothed into a polar bear’s fur, in ten small hands discovering that one big page belongs to all of them.
None of it can be rushed, swiped, or automated. It’s slow, hands-on, joyfully messy learning, the kind that builds focus, coordination, and confidence while it simply feels like play.
