New Families:

When creating your account, please use the same email address you provided to D102 during school registration. This allows us to verify your connection to the district and ensures that paid PTO members can access the Membership Toolkit directory and have opportunities to volunteer for different events and activities.

Faculty and Staff : Please register using your D102 email address.

If you did not purchase a PTO membership when registering your student for the new school year, you can still become a paid PTO member by paying the $20 membership fee.

There is only one paid membership required per family to take advantage of PTO benefits, regardless of how many children are enrolled.

📚🐝 Calling All Young Spellers! 🐝📚

D102 PTO Platinum Sponsor Best Brains of Buffalo Grove is excited to host a Spelling Bee event, open to all students in the area!

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their language skills and have a blast competing with their peers. From youngest Rising Readers of grade 1st to Word Masters of grade 8th, we are so incredibly proud of the dedication each child has.

Competition Details

• Round 1: Initial Elimination Round
Format: A written, standard dictation test using grade-level words.

Where: Right here at our local Best Brains center.

When (Choose one session):
Saturday, August 22nd | 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM
Friday, August 28th | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

• Round 2: The Grand Finals
Format: Top finalists will compete live on stage!

When: Sunday, September 13th, during our Annual Contests Showcase.

Congratulations to our 2026 PTO Scholarship recipients! We are proud to honor 8th-grade students who exemplify creativity, kindness, perseverance, citizenship, and the values of our Portrait of a Graduate. 🎉

Celebrating Our 2026 PTO Scholarship Recipients! 🎓🌟
Each year, the PTO proudly presents the Bob Basofin and Douglas Parks Awards to 8th-grade students who truly exemplify the traits of our Portrait of a Graduate. We are so excited to celebrate this year's outstanding recipients! 👏

The Bob Basofin Award honors creativity, contributions to the arts, and an ongoing dedication to learning, in memory of Mr. Basofin, a beloved past educator and principal in District 102. Congratulations to our two recipients, who each received a $50 scholarship!

✨ The Douglas Parks Award recognizes perseverance, kindness, and citizenship, honoring Dr. Parks, a dedicated past superintendent in District 102. Congratulations to our scholarship recipient, who received a $100 scholarship!

District 102 is incredibly proud of these phenomenal students for leading with creativity, kindness, and character. Congratulations to all of our 2026 honorees! 🎉🏆

The D102 PTO extends our deepest gratitude to every family, staff member, sponsor, and community member who supported us throughout the 2025–2026 school year.

Whether you made a donation, participated in a fundraiser, volunteered your valuable time, shared your talents, sponsored an event, or supported us in countless other ways, your generosity and commitment made a lasting impact on our schools.

Because of your unwavering support, we were able to provide enriching programs for our students, celebrate our amazing teachers and staff, support our PTO Grant Program for teachers, host memorable family events, and continue building a strong and connected D102 community.

Thank you for being an essential part of the D102 PTO family. We are truly grateful for your generosity, partnership, and dedication throughout the school year. Every contribution, big or small, helped create meaningful opportunities and experiences for our students, teachers, and our entire school community.

The D102 PTO would like to extend our immense gratitude to everyone who helped make our 3v3 basketball tournament a success!
Thank you to all the parents, students and ALL IN Athletics coaches who did a great job as referees and score keepers. Thank you also to Auntie Anne’s/Cinnabon for selling yummy treats and to the PTO members who helped with registration. Lastly, thank you to all the students who participated and community members who cheered them on for making it such a fun day! 🏀🎉

As our 3rd graders from Tripp and Pritchett gear up for the exciting milestone of moving on to Meridian, the PTO organized “Mixing It Up Meridian” to bring all of our 3rd grade students together for a fun and memorable evening!

A huge shoutout to Melissa Rose for organizing the event. Your hard work, time, and dedication made this event truly special for our kids. Thank you for going above and beyond to create meaningful experience and lasting memories for our students ! 💙

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all of our parent volunteers and student volunteers for their time, energy, and support in making this event so meaningful and memorable.

A huge thank you to Officer Maegan Diaz for your continued support, kindness, and dedication to our students and our community. Your positive presence and genuine care for our children make such a meaningful impact, and we are truly grateful for all that you do. 💙

Last but certainly not least, thank you to Zounds! Entertainment for bringing so much energy and keeping the kids entertained nonstop. It was truly a night to remember — filled with love, laughter, and new friendships! 💙🎉

Our heartfelt thanks for all the donations for Teacher Appreciation Week and for helping us make this week so special for our educators! 💛

We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors for their generosity and support. A special thank you to Culver’s, Rosati’s, Guzman y Gomez, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Auntie Anne’s, and Cinnabon for donating food and treats for our Teacher Appreciation lunches and celebrations.
