Parents Day Out

Parents Day Out Parent's Day Out (PDO) provides a creative learning environment for children ages 2-5 from September through May and also an 8-week program in the summer.

We exist to provide quality care for 2 through 5-year old children in a safe, child-centered environment. Parent’s Day Out provides a creative learning environment for each young child. Kingswood United Methodist Church is accepting applications for the 2022/2023 school year, Class time is offered Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 1:30pm. Children attend September through May. Participants in

the program pay a monthly tuition fee. A $50 non-refundable registration fee, per child is due at the time of registration. The 2/3 year classroom is limited to 16 children. The curriculum is theme-based and includes preschool topics and Christian stories. Parents must provide a snack, lunch and water bottle for the child. The pre-K class for children age 4 and 5 years old. Class size is limited to 16 children. Children must be able to use the washroom independently and tolerate a structured classroom. A short prayer is said before snack and lunch time. The curriculum includes pre-K topics such as colors and shapes, math, writing and reading, plus Christian stories from the Bible. Bible based stories will be taught once a month during the regular school year.

The weather this week has not been kind to us. First it was HOT 🌞; and today the air quality is not safe. so we've been indoors most of the week. On Tuesday the Midwest School of Dog Grooming came to visit the older classroom so we did go out for a brief few minutes to meet and pet some dogs.

The children in the 3- to 5-year-old class enjoy playing car wash with our toy cars in the classroom. So, Miss Marianne decided to test them to see exactly how much they enjoy washing cars by letting them wash her car. They absolutely loved it and really did a great job. Sorry parents but we can't guarantee you'll get the same results if you ask them to help you wash your cars at home.

Last week we painted rocks and this week we put them in the rock garden, just west of the playground. We also joined the 3- to 5-year-old classroom for a 4th of July Parade through the building and some fun music and dancing. Wishing everyone a safe and FUN 4th of July.
