Good Evening, PMMS Families,

What an amazing first day!

I was so excited to see our middle school students flourish on the Parry McCluer campus today. Seeing so many smiling faces in the hallways and classrooms made all the hard work leading up to today worthwhile. Our students did an outstanding job adjusting to their new surroundings, and I could not be more excited about the year ahead.

I wanted to share a few announcements and reminders:

Girls Volleyball Open Gym: Open gym will be held Thursday from 3:45–5:00 p.m. Students must have a current physical to participate. Tryouts are coming soon, and we would love to see more of our girls come out and join the Fighting Blues!
Bus Transportation: Students riding a school bus must be dropped off at a residential address. Unfortunately, we cannot allow students to be dropped off at a business or other non-residential location. Please make sure your child's transportation arrangements meet this requirement.
Afternoon Pickup: We learned a lot from our first afternoon dismissal! We have already smoothed out some of the wrinkles in the pickup process and expect things to run much more efficiently tomorrow. We greatly appreciate everyone's patience, flexibility, and understanding as we work through those first-day jitters and get our routines established.
Thank you to our students, families, faculty, and staff for making our first day such a great one. I could not have asked for a better start, and I am incredibly excited about what is ahead for PMMS this year.

School is out but summer meals are in!

Buena Vista City Public Schools will be providing free meals to all children in the community, ages 1 – 18, during the summer. Children do not have to attend any Buena Vista City School to be eligible for meals.

June 1st – June 25th (Mondays – Thursdays) a hot breakfast and lunch will be offered daily at Enderly Heights Elementary School. Children must remain onsite while consuming their meal.

Meals for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays may be picked up on Thursdays.

Breakfast 8:30 – 9:00 am
Lunch 12:00 – 12:30 pm

June 29th – July 27th (Mondays only) 7-day meal kits may be picked up at Enderly Heights Elementary School from 11:30 – 12:30.
