Today, Superintendent Norma E. Martinez took the stage at the 2026 S.H.E. Influences Conference, sharing her journey and perspective with leaders across our community.

The day brought an extra special surprise when Senator Tom Umberg's office presented Superintendent Martinez with a resolution recognizing her leadership and service. We’re excited to see her leadership making an impact within CESD and beyond.

We were excited to welcome returning members and new faces to our 2026–27 Student Advisory Council, marking the second year of this important group.

We look forward to hearing their ideas, perspectives and experiences throughout the year as they help us better understand what matters to CESD students.

Our CESD bus riders are putting their transportation cards to use. Students tap their card as they get on and off the bus. This helps our Transportation team accurately track riders to support safe arrivals and departures. Even better, families are able to track their student’s bus in real time and know when their child gets on and off the bus.

It’s one more way we’re using technology across CESD.

Ms. Norma Martinez will share her perspective on leading with purpose, building trust and creating meaningful change through service. Her invitation reflects the experience, vision and student-centered leadership she brings to Centralia Elementary School District every day.

The Governing Board of the Centralia Elementary School District is seeking qualified, interested individuals to serve as members of a Citizens' Oversight Committee ("COC")for the implementation of the District's Measure N school facilities bond program.

Former Buena Terra student Sarah Barron returned to CESD to give back to a new generation of readers. For her Girl Scout Gold Award project, she created a Little Free Library at San Marino Elementary School, inspired by her lifelong love of books.

Students and families can now stop by the library outside San Marino’s MPR to take a book, share a book and discover a new favorite.

Disney magic came to CESD 🪄 As part of Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary Happiest Day in Anaheim celebration, Disney surprised staff at our Anaheim schools and District Office with a very special gift: two complimentary Disneyland Resort tickets.

Thank you Disneyland for recognizing the staff who serve Anaheim students and families every day.
