I left Wallace Middle School Sep 2021 but never made the announcement on here. It was one of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make. I was leaving the PERFECT job.... Here is the email I sent to my WMS family....
WMS FAMILY
Many of you have already heard but after 8 years at Wallace, I am announcing my departure.
I have accepted an Inclusion position at Live Oak Academy starting September 27th. My final day at WMS will be September 24th.
While this has been one of the most rewarding and all-around awesome jobs I've ever had, I feel that it's time for me to explore new challenges and diversify my experience. I will miss you all, and at the same time, I look forward to a new career opportunity.
I have enjoyed working with you all and I will treasure all the sweet memories that I have of working here…chili cookoffs, birthday pizza lunches, seeing you smile and light up when you won a snack cart prize, planning Veterans Day assemblies, Theater haunted house photo booths, spirit weeks, short visits with you when you would stop by my class for your caffeine fix, LOL 😊 This list could go on and on….
Extra special SHOUT OUT to the WMS teachers who have educated my twins, my nieces and my nephew. You are a special part of my family; not just my WMS family 😊
Another special SHOUT OUT to the Encore Dept who made me an honorary member many years ago when I didn’t have a group to latch onto for department pictures, LOL 😊 Y’all embraced me and I will forever be grateful for your “You can sit with us” moment.
