Meet Maxine! ❤️🖤

If you’ve ever grabbed a snack at a game, signed up to lend a hand, or wondered who helps keep all those moving pieces moving! Maxine is one of the people making it happen behind the scenes!

She brings the kind of energy every PTA needs: welcoming, encouraging, and always ready to rally our Mustang community. 🤟Her work helps turn “we need a few people” into a whole crew showing up for our students and staff.

We’re so lucky to have Maxine helping make DMS events run smoothly and making volunteering feel a whole lot more fun along the way!

🏈🏐🏀 WORK A GAME. SUPPORT A PROGRAM. GIVE BACK TO DMS! ❤️🖤

The DMS PTA Concessions Giveback Program is back! When two adult volunteers supporting the same DMS program work a concessions shift together, $75 goes directly back to that program.

Last year, our volunteers helped DMS programs earn $2,475 in givebacks!! AND we’d love to make an even bigger impact this year!

🙋‍♀️ Adult volunteers: A DMS PTA board member will be present at each concession stand, so you won’t be on your own! Adult volunteers must be a Hays VIP.

🎓 Student volunteers: Both Dahlstrom AND Johnson students are welcome to volunteer and can earn service hours for their time.

Whether you’re supporting athletics, band, cheer, dance, theater, choir, orchestra, art, or another DMS program, every shift is an easy way to give back while helping our school community.

Meet Julie, our DMS PTA Parliamentarian! ❤️🤟

So… what exactly does a Parliamentarian do? Think of Julie as the PTA’s rulebook guru and meeting MVP. 🙌 She helps our board understand PTA bylaws and procedures, keeps meetings running smoothly, and makes sure decisions are made fairly and correctly.

It’s one of those behind-the-scenes roles that keeps everything organized and moving in the right direction—and we’re so lucky to have Julie filling it!
