Wynford Choir and Band student, Jamison Crall recently returned from an unforgettable 15-day European tour with the Ohio Musicians Abroad Choir and Concert Band. Nominated by Mr. Safford in early 2025, Jamison was selected to join talented high school musicians from across Ohio under the direction of retired Bowling Green State University professors Dr. Bruce Moss and Dr. Mark Munson. Jamison performed as a tuba player in the concert band, sang bass in the choir, and earned the bass solo in one of the choir pieces, Every time I Feel the Spirit.
During the tour, the ensemble performed concerts in five countries while exploring some of Europeโs most famous landmarks. Highlights included Windsor Castle, the Tower of London, the Eiffel Tower, a Seine River cruise, singing at the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene in Paris, Mount Pilatus and an Alpine horn performance in Switzerland, Neuschwanstein Castle, Dachau Concentration Camp, and Salzburg and Vienna, where Jamison even reunited with Wynford alumna Sami Hickman during her internship abroad. He returned home with unforgettable memories, countless stories, and a new appreciation for air conditioning.
Jamison is grateful to Mrs. Spradlein and Mr. Safford for their years of instruction and encouragement, as well as the many community members whose financial support, prayers, and interest made the experience possible. He was honored to represent not only Ohio, but also Wynford throughout England, France, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, and considers the trip a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment, Jamison! Thank you for representing Wynford so well. You make the Wynford Choir and Band proud!
