I’m going to celebrate 🎉 this one hard since on Monday I’m starting my maternity leave 💙….

From “wake-ups too many to count” to SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT. 😭👏
We aren’t even DONE with our 2-week support period yet…

And this 18-month-old is sleeping through the night. 💤

If she does wake? She’s awake for a minute or two, then puts herself right back to sleep.

But here’s where it gets even better…

This family came to me dealing with:

❌ False starts
❌ Co-sleeping
❌ Nursing most of the night
❌ More wake-ups than they could even count
❌ And a BIG concern about daycare naps

Last year, naps at daycare were a major struggle.

Today?

Her FIRST day back at daycare = a successful nap. 🥹🙌

Before we’ve even finished our two weeks.

This is why sleep support isn’t just about “getting your baby to sleep.”

It’s about helping a child learn the skills to sleep independently, resettle when they wake, and carry those skills into real life — even outside the home.

And watching a family go from exhausted and overwhelmed to “Wait… she just slept through the night AND napped at daycare?!”

That never gets old. ❤️

This is your reminder that sleep can change — and it can change more than you think. ✨

Consistency. Routine. Support. Guidance. 💛

Sleep training isn’t just a “method.”

Sleep training is understanding, education, and connection. It’s learning what your child needs, understanding their sleep patterns and developmental stage, setting appropriate expectations, and responding with consistency and confidence.

It’s about giving them the support, structure, and guidance they need to develop healthy sleep habits.

If you’re in the newborn stage and wondering, “Why is my baby sleeping like this?!” — take a breath.

You are not doing it wrong.

Newborn sleep is erratic, inconsistent, unpredictable, and HARD.

And your job isn’t to “fix” your baby’s sleep.

Your job is to guide, support, and build confidence as you both figure it out.

Here are the 3 things I want you to focus on:

🌞 1. Help build their circadian rhythm
Daylight, daytime activity, and nighttime cues help your baby begin learning the difference between day and night.

🍼 2. Feed your baby on demand
Newborns need frequent feeds. Follow hunger cues and, when recommended for your baby, aim for feeds every 2–3 hours.

🤍 3. Put baby down when they tolerate it
You do NOT have to hold your baby every second they’re awake. When they’re content, give them opportunities to hang out safely in their bassinet or other appropriate space.
Let them look around.
Let them move.
Let them explore.
Those little moments matter.

And then… the witching hour happens. 😵‍💫
Suddenly, everything you thought you knew about sleep goes out the window.
And that’s okay.
During the witching hour, we comfort—we don't force.
Feed.
Hold.
Rock.
Walk.
Cuddle.
Switch with your partner.
Do whatever helps you and your baby regulate.
And if you are reaching your limit?
Put your baby safely in their bassinet and take a minute.
A crying baby in a safe space while you take a breath is better than a completely overwhelmed parent trying to push through.
You don't need to win the witching hour.
You just need to get through it.
Because newborn sleep isn't a test you're failing.
It's a skill your baby is still learning.
And you're learning, too. 🤍
Save this for the nights when you need the reminder.

Send it to a new parent who needs to hear: you are doing better than you think.

Prior to nap: my son would have never even considered jumping in and doing a ‘cannon ball’.
After nap: he just went for it!

🚨 If your toddler is acting “difficult,” they might not need discipline...

They might just need a nap. 😴💛

A single nap can completely change a toddler’s brain and behavior.

✨ After a good nap, many toddlers:
🧠 Learn better
😊 Regulate emotions more easily
❤️ Have fewer meltdowns
⚡ Have more energy to play
😌 Feel calmer and happier

Their brains are growing faster than at any other time in life—and sleep is when so much of that development happens.

The same child who was crying over everything an hour ago can wake up smiling, laughing, and ready to explore the world.

Never underestimate the power of a toddler’s nap.

Save this for the next time your little one is having a hard day. ❤️

I need to know I’m not the only one... 😭💩🐶
The other week my toddler pooped outside during potty training... and before I could even react, the dog ate it.

I wish I was making this up.

Please tell me your most unhinged potty training or parenting moment so I can feel less alone. Bonus points if your dog was involved. 😂👇

✨ Reviews like this hit home. ✨

As an educator, my goal has always been to empower parents through education and understanding.

When we understand *why* our children do what they do, what is developmentally appropriate, and how to view situations from their perspective, our responses change. They become more patient, genuine, calm, and connected.

Parenting starts to feel less like a constant battle and more like understanding, anticipating needs, and knowing how to respond while staying regulated ourselves.

This is especially true when it comes to sleep and potty training. 💤🚽

When we have realistic expectations and understand the “why” behind behaviors, bedtime struggles, night wakings, potty accidents, and regressions feel less frustrating and more manageable. Instead of reacting, we can respond with confidence, consistency, and compassion.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s connection, understanding, and supporting our children through each stage of development.

When we stay regulated, our children learn to regulate. When we lead with understanding, our children feel safe to learn, grow, and succeed.

💛 Education changes everything.
💛 Understanding changes our response.
💛 Connection changes outcomes.
