Hello Classmates!

I just want to take a minute to thank those who joined us this past Friday and Saturday! It was so much fun catching up with old friends! Those who were unable to attend either night…you were missed!

I also want to give a shout-out to the Reunion Committee! Thank you so much for your overwhelming help and support!

As you may know, we had about 10 gift baskets that were donated and raffled off on Saturday night. We also had a 50/50 raffle. Both of these raffles were held in order to put $$ towards our 50th Reunion! We made a total of about $1500! WAY TO GO!!

Before you know it, we will begin planning for the 50th Reunion! Hope to have a lot of folks helping with this huge endeavor!

I wanted to send out some additional information regarding our upcoming reunion.

We will be having several donated gift baskets to be raffling off. We will have tickets for sale for $1 each or 6 for $5. There will be 2 or 3 bourbon themed baskets, a couple of wine baskets, a BBQ themed basket, 2 of Gene King’s gorgeous hand made cutting boards, as well as a $50 gift certificate from Campbellsburg Grocery!

We will also have at least one 50/50 drawing!

All proceeds will go towards our 50th Class reunion in 2028!!

Bring some cash with you so that you don’t miss out on a chance to win one or more of these AWESOME gift baskets and help offset the cost of our 50th reunion!

I’m looking forward to a great night on August 5th! I know there are a few who won’t be able to join us this year, but hope to be at the next one!

Also, we plan to get together on Friday, August 4 at
3rd Turn Oldham Gardens in Crestwood. It is located at 6300 Old LaGrange Rd, Crestwood, KY!

Skip Banister’s band (Soul Kitchen) will be playing beginning at 6 pm that night!

ATTN: ALL MEMBERS OF OCHS CLASS OF ‘78

I urge anyone who is planning to come to the reunion on August 5 to please send your money before June 30th. The price will go up after that.

We had another committee meeting tonight and are planning some fun things! However, we really need to get a better idea of how many folks will attend.

We are planning to raffle off some great gift baskets (several with adult beverages) and will also have a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds will go towards our 50th class reunion in 5 short years!

Hello Classmates!

Can you believe it's been nearly 5 years since our last reunion? Your reunion committee has been hard at work planning our 45th Reunion for this summer.

We are still working out the details, but I wanted to get the date out so you can mark your calendars and plan to attend!

Our reunion will be Saturday, August 5 beginning a t 6 pm at the VFW Post 1170, 107 Evergreen Road, Middletown, KY 40243

The cost will be $35 per person, however if paid beforeJune 30th, the cost will be $30 per person. Details on how to pay will be forthcoming.

Your Class Reunion Planning Committee is already hard at work and looking forward to our 45th Class Reunion next year!

We have determined the date and place! It will take place on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the VFW Post 1170 in Middletown, KY. It is located at 107 N. Evergreen Road.

We are still in the planning stages to determine details such as the cost to attend. We are interested in knowing how many of you are interested in attending--Hopefully many of you will be able to come!

Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for a fun night of renewing old friendships and sharing stories.

Good evening everybody!

Sorry it’s taken a few days to update everyone on our last planning meeting. So…

I have asked Sandy Mack to contact 3rd turn to reserve the venue for next summer. We are looking at Saturday, August 5, 2023. Pencil it in and save the date. Hope to have that pinned down by our next meeting.

Skip has offered to provide a PA system for our entertainment! (Thanks, Skip!)

We aren’t sure what we will be doing for food yet. We also don’t have an idea of how much this will cost. Updates will be upcoming.

Finally, this August we have been invited to participate in a charity fund raiser for Paralyzed Veterans of America. Mike Hazelip is heading this up. We are looking to have 2 or 3 teams to bowl in the tournament which is on Friday, August 19 at 6 pm at Kingpin Lanes in J-Town. Each team consists of 5 people including one paralyzed veteran. The cost is $50 per person.

Please let Mike or myself know if you are interested. He has to have teams and money by August 1st.

Our next meeting will be Thursday, July 28 at 6 pm at Joes Older Than Dirt in Lyndon.
