As we gear up for another fantastic school year, we want to ensure that families have all the information and resources they need to stay connected with both your child’s school and the district.

We are moving from Remind to ParentSquare as our main communication platform. With Remind no longer in use, ParentSquare will be the tool we rely on to share important updates from the district, your child's school, teachers, and coaches.

BusRight is our new student transportation platform that we transitioned to last spring. This system enhances communication, boosts student safety, and gives families better insight into their child's transportation experience.

We truly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we make this transition to these new communication platforms.

Hornet Tip-Off: August 20th
We are excited to kick off the 2026-2027 school year with Hornet Tip-Off.
Seniors 8:00AM - 9:30AM
Juniors 9:00AM – 10:30AM
Sophomores 10:30AM - 12:00PM
Freshmen 1:00PM – 3:00PM

This is a time when students can come in to get their school picture taken, get their ID card, get a copy of their schedule, pay their class fees, meet with their counselor if needed, and receive other information for the start of the year.
It is important that all students get their picture taken either at Tip-Off or Picture Make-up Day on September 9th, as this picture is used for the yearbook and their ID card. The ID card is free and
required for all students. Families can pay for fees using cash, check, card or online through our website at http://wrhs.whiteriver.wednet.edu/. To help avoid lines, I encourage families to pay online prior to coming. Our online system to pay class fees will be ready to use by Monday, August 17th;
however, you can pay all other fees and fines now. Our library will also be open for students to return books and other resources. Information about class and other fees can be found on our school’s website.

Standard student and classroom supplies (pencils, crayons, notebooks, paper, glue, scissors, etc.) will be provided for all elementary and middle school students. Middle school students will also continue to be provided with 1:1 devices. This program started in the 2023-2024 school year, and we are excited to be able to continue it.

If you would like to request a backpack and/or water bottle for your child, please contact the main office of your child’s school.

For families with high school students, with many different course offerings, applying a universal supply list is difficult. ​Please be on the lookout for additional information from the school​ regarding supplies. Students will continue to be provided with 1:1 devices.

📍Vote early and use a drop box! Ballots in a drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day are guaranteed on time. There are 57 drop boxes, open 24/7 throughout the county. Find one near you at PierceCountyWA.gov/Elections

📬 Planning to mail your ballot? Mail it at least one week before Election Day to help ensure it's postmarked by August 4. As Election Day gets closer, we recommend using an official ballot drop box instead.
