Buckley Schools is excited to welcome Coach Marcus Matthews to the soccer family!

My name is Marcus Matthews, and I’m excited to be coaching Buckley Middle School Soccer.

I’m a lifelong member of the Buckley community where my family and I live. I am a Director at Crystal Mountain where I have worked the past 18 years.

I am a graduate from the University of Olivet where I played collegiate soccer.

I have been able to coach youth sports the past few years in our community and looking forward to seeing you on the soccer pitch.

Let's Welcome Our New 7th Grade Girls Basketball Coach, Mrs. Darcey White 🏀

I’m excited and honored to be stepping into the role of 7th Grade Girls Basketball Coach at Buckley! I’ve had the opportunity to coach a variety of levels in both basketball and volleyball at Buckley and I’m thrilled to share my love for the game with our middle school athletes once again.

This will also be my 17th year teaching kindergarten at Buckley, making this opportunity even more special. I’m looking forward to building relationships, helping our girls grow as players and teammates, and creating a positive, competitive, and fun experience. Go Bears! 🐻🏀

Help us welcome Coach Jenna Lang! We are excited to have her back with us!

Hi, my name is Jenna Lang and I am thrilled to be back as the 8th grade team coach for Buckley’s middle school volleyball program. I previously coached four seasons here as the middle school volleyball coach back in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. I am also a Buckley Alumni, having attended K-12th grade and graduated in 2007. I love being able to be a part of this program and community, where I also grew and participated as a student-athlete! I am committed to sharing my knowledge and passion for the game to ensure that every player grows and learns the basic fundamental skills to play good volleyball and be able to build upon these skills for further development as they move on to the JV and Varsity level. I look forward to seeing you all at matches! Go Bears!

Help us welcome Coach DeSimpelare to the girls basketball program! We are excited to have her back in the gym!

My name is Shelby DeSimpelare, and I will be coaching JV Girls Basketball this upcoming season! Having the opportunity to coach here is nothing short of special. Once a player myself, I am grateful to be able to now in turn pour into the next generation of student-athletes here at Buckley. Even more, I get to do so beside my brother Denver Cade, the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. We are excited to get in the gym and make great things happen!
