WVWC SON students took part in their second annual Nursing Careers Summit today. Special thanks to Justin Bowers, WVWC Career Services, David Strait, RN, Broaddus Hospital, Keynote Speaker, WVU Hospitals, Vandalia Health, William R. Sharpe Hospital, and Community Care of WV for making today a success!

WVWC SON with WVWC MAT and WVSOM Lewisburg held their annual Interprofessional Day and a wonderful learning experience was had!

SNOW Christmas Raffle!

Hello everyone! The West Virginia Wesleyan College nursing seniors are conducting a drive called Step Up for Students, where we are collecting new shoes of all sizes for kids in our community. We are collecting items from October 22nd to November 12th. There will be various locations on campus and around the community for you to drop off your donations, and you can feel free to bring your donations directly to us on campus in Middleton Hall. Hello everyone! The West Virginia Wesleyan College nursing seniors are partnering with the Upshur County Board of Education to collect supplies for children in the community. The drive is called Suds and Smiles, where we will be collecting lice shampoo as well as other hygiene products. We will be collecting items until November 5th. You can find collection boxes around campus and in town at local businesses. You can also bring your donation items directly to Middleton Hall (the nursing building) on campus as well. A full list of items being collected is on the flyer below; however, the item we need the most is lice shampoo!! Thank you all in advance for your donations. The SON is currently representing at the National Student Nurses Association conference in Seattle! Students are attending educational offerings to prepare them for NCLEX-RN and the future of nursing. Nursing faculty are learning new educational methodologies including the use of AI. We are proud of all of you and hope you also enjoy all the sights and fun to be had! Safe travels home we can’t wait to have you share all that you have learned with us!
