The Appalachian Experience and Healthy Children teams will be taking a trip to the Rosenbaum House in Morgantown this Sunday, October 12 to deliver donations and cook dinner. Items they need include disposable drinking cups, plastic cutlery, coffee creamer, and coffee filters. These items can be dropped off in the Center for Community Engagement & Leadership Developement located behind the campus store on the second floor of the Benedum Campus Center.

With April begins AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH and today, April 2,is World Autism Awareness Day!

One in every 88 children is diagnosed with Autism, so this is a growing cause! Also, look for the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta outside of the cafeteria for free stuff to support the Autism Speaks campaign. The following are other events to look for throughout the month!

April 2nd - Wear blue to support Autism! Sign our petition from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside the cafeteria or at the following link (http://bit.ly/YoJ16f)
April 7th - Sprint for the Spectrum 5K Color run - registration starts at 11:30 a.m. at the fountain oval. $10 for students!
April 13th - Blue Bake Sale outside the campus center prior to Spring Sing.
April 14th - Basketball FrenXi: 4 on 4 Basketball tournament, $5 per team and winning team will get a free dinner and a movie for two!
April 25th - Softball blue out! Double header at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wear blue to support the cause!

We look forward to supporting Alpha Xi Delta throughout the month, and we hope you will do the same. Let's help them reach their goal to raise $2,000 as a chapter to be able to send to Autism Speaks!

Congratulations to Zeta Tau Alpha for being the top-collecting organization for WVWC Jump Rope for Heart 2013! This is the second year in a row that the Zeta's have claimed 1st place. Thank you for your participation!

Jump Rope for Heart collection envelopes are now available to be picked up in the Center for Community Engagement and Leadership Development (CCE), which is located behind the campus bookstore! This is a great way to raise money for the American Heart Association! The top prize will be a dinner at Dean Julie Keehner's house for the top-collecting group or organization. Money is due in the CCE by March 20th, and the day of jumping rope, other prize giveaways, and celebration will be March 21st from 5-7PM in the Auxiliary Gym in Rockefeller! We raised over $700 last year, and this year our goal is $1000! Pick up a collection envelope for your group of friends or organization/club starting today!
