If you have been by the school lately, you may have noticed that our Blessing Box did not weather well through the winter months. The cold temperatures, snow, and rain have taken a toll on it, and we are currently working to replace it with a new one.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the community member who repaired the top and applied caulk to help hold it together until a replacement can be installed. Your kindness and support are greatly appreciated!

As we continue to use the Blessing Box, we ask everyone to keep a few things in mind:

📦 Please make sure all items placed in the box are sealed. We have been experiencing ant problems due to opened packages being left inside.

🤝 Please take what you need, but remember to leave some items for others who may also need assistance.

🚪 Please make sure the door is completely closed after using the box. We have already had to remove bees from the box, and we want to help prevent them from returning and potentially stinging someone.

Thank you for helping us care for this resource and for supporting our school community. Together, we can ensure the Blessing Box remains a safe and helpful place for everyone.

As the school year ended, we provided families with Summer Learning Book Packs and shared strategies for supporting reading at home throughout the summer.

Each family received a collection of books to enjoy during summer break, along with a reading log and tips for reading with children. We are attaching the reading log again in case you need an extra copy.
If you are unable to print the log, that's perfectly fine! You may keep track of the books your child reads on any piece of paper.
Please save your reading log and bring it with you to Open House in August. We look forward to celebrating all of the great reading our students accomplish this summer!

We have taken a couple groups fishing from our school and it is always a hit! Our kids love being outside and enjoying our beautiful state!!

Recognizing Our i-Ready Highest Achievers!

We would like to take a moment to recognize our highest achievers on this year's i-Ready assessments. These students should have been recognized during our awards ceremony, and I apologize for that oversight.

We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, dedication, and achievement on the i-Ready Math and Reading assessments. Their commitment to learning and academic excellence is commendable.

We would also like to celebrate the students who demonstrated exceptional growth throughout the year. These students showed tremendous progress on their i-Ready assessments through perseverance, determination, and a commitment to improving their skills. They were recognized right after the assessments and given certificates!

Please join us in applauding all of these students for their accomplishments. Whether they achieved the highest scores or demonstrated remarkable growth, each student has much to be proud of. Their dedication to learning is an inspiration, and we are honored to celebrate their success!

Some library fun!

This is the schedule for the Charles Gibson Library, the one that kindergarten visits yearly. They have a wonderful summer reading program and their summer story-time on Wednesdays is outstanding!!!

Appalachian Impact has this center and it is so much fun!

Here are their summer hours for the month of June.

They have a reading book, doctor’s office, dress up and a giant Lego table!!!
