We are a week away from Curriculum Night! 🎉

There will be three 25 minute rotations that you can choose to attend that include learning about our specials programs, hearing from your child’s teacher and a Principal’s welcome.

Join us Tuesday, September 1 from 5:00-6:30pm.

What you will learn:
✏️ Standards and skills your child will be working on this year
✏️ Curriculum that is used at your grade level
✏️ Daily structures/routines
✏️What is Falcon Time?
✏️School Goals
✏️English Language Learner Support
✏️ How to support at home
✏️ PBIS

Come for one session or attend 3. The night is to provide families information they need to be able to support continued learning and growth.

🍎 Meet Ms. Poghossian 🍎

We are so excited to welcome Melissa Poghossian as our new speech and language pathologist!

Melissa is excited to be serving as the primary Speech-Language Pathologist at Festival Foothills Elementary School this school year and comes to us with over 25 years of experience. She is known for her collaborative approach, working closely with families, mentoring new professionals and fostering strong partnerships with interdisciplinary teams. Her career has spanned hospitals, acute rehabilitation facilities, schools and home-based services.

Outside of her professional work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her 18-year-old daughter, family and friends. Originally from the Northeast, she stays closely connected to her family and is an avid sports fan who cheers for all New England teams. Melissa especially loves helping children discover strengths, build confidence in communication skills to reach their full potential, one conversation at a time.

🍎 Meet Mrs Larson 🍎

Mrs. Larson is excited to start her first year of teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies. She recently graduated from Arizona State University and is looking forward to sharing her love of reading, learning, and history with her students.

When she’s not in the classroom, Mrs. Larson enjoys reading, sewing, and spending time with her husband and their dog. She is excited to create a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and ready to learn.

Mrs. Larson can’t wait to meet her students, connect with families, and make this a great school year!

🍎 Meet Mrs Cathy Davis 🍎

Mrs. Davis joins the Falcon family as our 3rd grade teacher! We are so excited for our students and community to meet her!

She brings 11 years of teaching experience to our team. Throughout her career, she has taught both 4th and 5th grades and is excited to begin a new adventure teaching 3rd grade this year.

Mrs. Davis is married and the proud mother of four grown children. She and her husband enjoy traveling and spending quality time with their family. In her free time, she loves crafting, watching movies, and shopping.
