The Buckeye Elementary School District has been building future leaders for more than 130 years. BESD currently educates more than 5,800 students from Preschool to 8th Grade on eight neighborhood campuses, as well as two community preschools. Our students put their multiplication skills to the test today by building their very own multiplication tables from scratch. You could hear a pin drop in the classroom as everyone locked in, racing the timer and working hard to show off their math power.

Hearing and vision screenings are underway across BESD! Students are listening closely for those sneaky tones and using our SPOT vision screeners, which can quickly help identify common vision concerns.

Keeping eyes sharp and ears tuned in helps make sure our students are ready to learn and GROW! 👂👓✨

❤️ BESD has a lot of HEART!

We were proud to welcome our partners from the American Heart Association - Arizona as we continue our collaboration to promote heart health, healthy habits and lifesaving skills throughout BESD.

Through the Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge, our collaboration has helped reach 6,092 BESD students and families with heart-healthy messaging, while also providing opportunities for families to learn important lifesaving skills such as Hands-Only CPR and recognizing the warning signs of a stroke.

To celebrate our partnership, we presented our AHA partners with a special “I ❤️ BESD” heart.

We’re excited to continue growing this important collaboration and creating opportunities that help our students, families and community learn, grow and thrive!
