We are excited to share that a Free Clothing Boutique will be held this Saturday, February 28th at John S. McCain III Elementary School!

Our PTA is sponsoring this one-day event in partnership with Kimberly’s Kindness Kloset, founded by Kimberly Schwartzenberg.

Families are invited to come shop at no cost. Clothing and shoes will be available in all sizes. Additional items may be available upon request. We encourage you to stop by and grab what your family may need.

This event is completely free and open to our school community. We look forward to seeing you there!

As part of participating in National PTA’s Healthy Minds pilot program focused on social emotional learning and service learning, we will be sharing informational resources and activities for your family to do at home! This week, we are highlighting resources focused on learning more about Self Awareness and how to build those skills at home:

Keep an eye out for additional resources throughout the spring on various topics related to social emotional learning and service learning, and if you’d like to learn more, please save the date and come to our live in-person meeting on Wednesday February 11th on the learning stairs. PTA Healthy Minds: Building Social Emotional Skills at Home session for parents and caregivers.

We will be discussing Healthy Minds coming up at our Parent Teacher conferences Wednesday February 11th. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Mental & Behavioral Health Specialists: A Parent’s Guide There are many different trained professionals in mental health care who work with children, teens and young adults. Here is a breakdown of who's who in mental health and what each person specializes in.

Hey neighbors… I’m reaching out with a big ask and an even bigger hope.
Our Mavericks Angel Tree now has 44 families in need, many with 2–6 children each. That means dozens of little ones wishing for simple things — warm clothes, shoes, a small gift to feel special this Christmas.
My hopes is that every child will have at least one thing from our tree. If you can give even a little, you’ll make a huge difference for a child right here in our community. Choose to sponsor a child or choose to donate to help us fulfill at the end- anything helps!

We kindly ask that you bring a non-perishable food item if you plan to watch. All donations support families in need. We are also asking if each family could sponsor their students for 5.00 on this run portion of the proceeds will go back to our Maverick community🧡.
