🌟 Exciting Things Are Happening in Math! 🌟

There’s something special happening in Mrs. Burton’s 3rd grade classroom! One of the strategies they are rolling out is called Building Thinking Classrooms.

Each week, students will work together on a challenging math task using our vertical whiteboards. The goal isn’t just to get the “right answer”, it’s to get students thinking, talking, problem-solving, collaborating, and explaining their mathematical ideas. 🧠➕✏️

Mrs. Burton was proud to watch our students take risks, share ideas, learn from one another, and persevere when the answer wasn’t immediately obvious. They are excited to continue completing one thinking task each week and grow some amazing mathematicians along the way!

🌟 Integrity Spotlight: Mrs. Diana 🌟

Diana has been nothing short of amazing since day one! She consistently shows integrity through the way she supports both our students and staff. She makes sure the grade levels she works with receive equal support and always makes everyone feel valued and cared for.

Whether she’s helping teachers, supporting students, or making sure our Kinder students get safely to their cars at dismissal, Diana is always willing to go the extra mile. She leads with kindness, fairness, respect, and professionalism—and she’s someone we can always count on!

🚗 IMPORTANT DISMISSAL UPDATE:
Afternoon club dismissal will take place at the BACK of the school on the SOUTH SIDE. Please plan to pick up your student there at 5:30 PM.

📚 Dismissal Times:

🎒 Kindergarten–1st Grade: 11:15 AM
✏️ 2nd–5th Grade: 11:30 AM
📖 6th–8th Grade: 11:45 AM

🚗 Help us keep dismissal moving smoothly! Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your oldest child’s dismissal time.

🏫 After Care will be OPEN for students who are currently registered.

Hemos preparado dos guías rápidas de preguntas frecuentes para explicar el “por qué” detrás de nuestros procedimientos—desde permanecer en su vehículo y avanzar hasta el final de la fila por la mañana, hasta usar Pikmykid y llegar a la hora correcta por la tarde.

Algunos recordatorios sencillos hacen una GRAN diferencia:

Families, we appreciate your partnership as we work to keep both morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal safe, efficient, and moving smoothly!

We’ve put together two quick FAQ guides to explain the “why” behind our procedures—from staying in your vehicle and pulling all the way forward in the morning to using Pikmykid and arriving at the correct dismissal time in the afternoon.

A few simple reminders make a BIG difference:

🚙 Follow staff directions and pull all the way forward
👋 Students should exit on the sidewalk side during morning drop-off
📱 Announce your student in Pikmykid when you are in line and approaching campus
⏰ Arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your oldest child’s dismissal time
