Attention! If you haven’t already participated in this survey, please do so!
Dear Buck Families,
Since the start of the school year, we have had three changes regarding mask mitigation strategies. We began the year with masks as an option, pivoted to mandating masks, and now we have returned to masks as an option. We do not know if more mandates are on the horizon however, as a district we are prepared to take steps to ensure our students have a healthy environment in which to learn.
As a reminder:
1. We will require masks should they be warranted by the local data.
2. Quarantines are based on 3 feet contact tracing when there is a mask mandate in place and 6 feet when there is not a mask mandate. We will follow the 6 feet quarantine measure for those who are close contacts.
3. If we see spread in the schools, we may need to go virtual.
In order to gain more insight from our families regarding this matter, we have created a short survey. This data will guide our decisions in order to keep students in the classroom and to help students remain healthy and safe while in school.
The survey has three short parts and should take less than a minute to complete. The window will close Monday morning so please complete the survey as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to adjust during this school year.
Educationally yours,
Patricia L. Robinson
Superintendent of Buchanan Community Schools

(THE SURVEY WILL BE OPEN UNTIL MONDAY, OCTOBER 4th @ 8:00 AM) Plea...
