Those who remember your time at BHS will remember a favorite coach, Buddy Smith. Coach experienced his first day in Heaven yesterday, April 24, 2025. He and his lovely wife, Carolyn Smith are reunited, probably talking about their kids and friends. So glad I went to Buchanan High and have so many fond memories! 💛🖤

OK…..my mission continues under the caption “REMEMBER THE YELLOW JACKETS”’. If you ride by the old football field…..a historic site if you ask me….you’ll see there is no goal posts, no bleachers, no concessions stand and no fence surrounding the field…..time and growth has replaced those things with a much needed playground for our students…..it’s sad but it’s progress. I have contacted Jerry Bell and he has gotten approval from the school board to place some type of memorial…a plaque, a monument or a head stone to honor former alumni, staff and administrators. I need all your help in this task with choice of such item to honor….a design, a scheme, something all would be proud of. The board has ask for a sketch or design for final approval. Once this is done I’ll need help with donations to cover cost. I have other plans too but this needs first attention so let me hear all and any ideas!
