Their 50 year reunion is Oct 18.
They are going to football game on Friday night and getting together on Saturday in county bldg out by Mountain View Manor.

Hi Folks! Believe it or not we are getting close to 50 years! Let’s get together one last time as a group! We have struggled to put something together for awhile.

This Week in Swain History (May 30th, 1974)

Eight Swain High School students divided $50 in prize money offered by Belk’s Department Store for the winners of a sewing contest for home economics students. Competing in two separate categories were first- and second-year students. Materials for the sewing contest were purchased at Belk’s at a ten percent discount. First year students were restricted to one-piece garments. Second year students were free to work on any type of garment.
