MDCS would like to send a special thank you to The Cherokee Boys Club for their generous donation of MDCS bus 6. This bus will service as an activity bus for all grades, but will mostly serve as transportation for our athletics teams.

DROP-IN OPEN HOUSE AT MDCS
MONDAY, AUGUST 10: 10:00-5:00

Elementary Classrooms open 10:00-5:00
Elementary Parent Orientation: 1:30-12:30 OR 1:30-2:30

Middle School Classrooms open 10:00-4:00
Middle School Orientation- 4:00-5:00

During Open House, you will be able to register for Parent Portal on Infinite Campus. Middle School students will be able to register for electives.

If you can attend Orientation on the slab, please do so. Orientation will focus on student expectations, communication, campus procedures, attendance, volunteering, and other topics. Middle School orientation will also address camping trips, athletics, and the structure of the day.

We are excited about the upcoming school year!

Miss Brook attempted to teach every kid in the school to tie their shoes this year. All 1st-8th grade students were assessed and then any kids who weren't proficient practiced with some 1 on 1 instruction. As a school, we went from 76% proficiency to 96%. Next year we hope to get to 100%, including Kindergarten!! Go Trailblazers!

6th Grade Camp Trip to Panthertown!

The 6th graders had an incredible time in Panthertown Valley. They hiked over 8 miles in one day and were rewarded with beautiful views and cooling waterfalls.
