At Failte Waldorf Microschool, we focus on nurturing each child’s individuality and fostering a genuine love for learning. At Fáilte Waldorf Microschool, we create an environment where children can rekindle their love of learning, celebrate their unique strengths and thrive beyond the limitations of traditional schooling, regardless of labels or diagnoses.

​Our Waldorf curriculum nurtures the whole child-- mind, body, and spirit-- addressing academic, social and emotional needs. Our small, mixed age school setting offers a developmentally appropriate approach to learning, providing a school-like structure for families who don't find success in the public or private school environment, or are looking for more structure than homeschooling.

Our botany unit is giving students the chance to slow down and really look at the living world around them.

Through observation, drawing, discussion, and hands-on study, students are noticing the details that are easy to overlook—roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruit.

It’s science, but it’s also a practice in paying attention.

And sometimes, the best learning starts with simply wondering, “What am I looking at?” 💚

At Fáilte Academy, we make room for the unexpected ways curiosity shows up. Sometimes it’s a science experiment or a creative project. Sometimes, it’s exploring words and discovering where one definition leads.

Fáilte Academy is officially cutting the ribbon on our home at Lurwick Hall, and we would love for you to be there.

Since March, our students have been learning, growing, and finding their people in this little stone building behind St. Luke United Methodist Church. Now we’re opening the doors to our whole community for the very first time.

Come meet our teachers, students, and families. Walk the space. See where learning begins with belonging. 💚

We’ll kick things off with a welcome from me and the Pastor of St. Luke’s, followed by light refreshments and activities for the kids.

Fresh lemons, curious hands, and a simple recipe turned into an afternoon of learning together.

Making lemonade gave our students the chance to practice following steps, measuring, squeezing, mixing, using their senses, and working together — all while making something they could enjoy themselves.

These are the everyday experiences that make learning meaningful. At Fáilte, we love giving children the chance to build real-life skills while having a little fun along the way. 💛

With open-ended materials and the freedom to follow an idea wherever it leads, our Maker Space gives students a chance to turn “What if…?” into something they can actually build.

Whether they’re designing a structure, testing an idea, or figuring out how to make something work, the process matters just as much as the finished product.

🍉 Learning can be delicious!

At Fáilte Academy, our kitchen is another classroom — a place where students can practice independence, follow directions, use their senses, and learn through real-life experiences.

And sometimes, the lesson is as simple as learning to safely cut and enjoy a watermelon together. 🍉

These everyday moments build skills that go far beyond the kitchen: confidence, coordination, communication, and the satisfaction of doing something for yourself.

Real life is full of opportunities to learn. We love making room for them. 💚
