NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Officer Hunter Berry

BES is so excited to have Officer Berry here to help keep all students and staff safe while we are here at school! From working the car line, to securing all doors, he is always working to make sure that safety is always at the top of his game!

Here's a little about Officer Berry: "I grew up attending Bryant Schools and graduated from BHS in 2013. I met my wife, Gabie, in 2013 and we married in 2016. We have two sons, Beckett and Bodie. I started working in law enforcement in 2015 with the Saline County Sheriff's Office serving in various roles. I became a School Resource Officer in 2022. In 2023 I moved to Saline County Juvenile Court and worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends and watching Razorback sports."

NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT: We are lucky this year to have Mrs. Brooke Lewis. Mrs. Lewis is going to be helping provide Dyslexia services as well as assisting with literacy interventions for our students who are needing that extra support!

"My name is Brooke Lewis. I am coming to Bryant from Harmony Grove SD where I taught 2nd grade for 21 years. Teaching little people to read makes my heart happy, and I am so excited for this new adventure. A few of my favorite things are my family, my dogs, and Broadway musicals. "

Welcome Mrs. Lewis and we are so thrilled to have you a part of the BESt team in Bryant!

NEW STAFF SPOTLIGHT!! We are so excited to have Kathryn Gober at our school this year to work alongside Mrs. Rook and Mrs. Seale offering some of the best speech therapies to our students!

Here's how Mrs. Gober introduces her self to the friends and families of BES: " I was born and raised in Oklahoma City. I moved to Arkansas in 2018 to attend Harding University in Searcy, where I graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree of arts in Communications Sciences and Disorders. I fell in love with Arkansas and stayed after graduation. In 2023 I met my husband, Jesse on a mission trip to Vilnius, Lithuania. We got married a year later in Arkansas. We now live in Benton with our two goats and two rabbits. Outside of work, I love traveling, swimming, listening to audiobooks, and hanging out with my husband and family. I enjoy being an SLPA and look forward to a great school year!"

☀️ HOT WEATHER REMINDER 💧
With excessive heat and temperatures expected to reach 100°F+ this week, please encourage your student to bring a water bottle to help them stay hydrated during the bus ride home.

Our transportation team will work hard to get students home and off buses as quickly as possible while never compromising safety.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and drivers during these extremely hot days.

As we get ready to welcome our students back, District Security Coordinator Chad Winkler has an important reminder for everyone sharing the road with our school buses.

When a bus is stopped with its stop arm extended and red lights flashing, please stop and give our students the time and space they need to safely get on and off the bus.

A little patience and extra attention can make a big difference in keeping our students safe. Let’s work together to make sure every Hornet gets to and from school safely!
