MASK STATUS updated 10/1/21: LEVEL YELLOW--MASKS OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED for the week of October 4-8, 2021

Masks are OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED for students, staff, and visitors during the school day in district buildings and on all school buses.

We realize many of our students and staff may continue to wear masks. The district will respect the choice of the individual and will expect students and staff to be accepting of the choice made by others regardless of their decision.

One concern expressed is quarantine numbers will increase. As a reminder, here are the ways an individual can avoid quarantine if identified as a close contact:

β€’ Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
β€’ If the positive person and the close contact were properly wearing masks
β€’ Within the 90 day immunity period post COVID-19

Bryant Public Schools uses data from Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) to determine whether students, employees, and visitors will be required to wear a face covering. ACHI’s current status for residents in the Bryant School District is YELLOW. Details here ⇉ https://www.bryantschools.org/page/mask-status

Did you know that completing a Free and Reduced meal application provides more than meals?

Families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals receive extra benefits. Plus, you are helping our school district by providing funds for interventionists to help struggling learners, our pre-K program, a district social worker, school security officers, and additional equipment and supplies. These funds are based on the percentage of students who qualify for free/reduced lunches. In order for our district to continue to receive this additional funding, PLEASE submit your free/reduced lunch application by October 10.

Apply online at bit.ly/MealAccounts or pick up an application at any school office.

Today, September 29, is the first annual Day of Prayer for Arkansas Students. The law, Act 902, was passed in April by the Arkansas Legislature. It directs the Governor to annually proclaim the last Wednesday in September of each year as β€œA Day of Prayer for Arkansas Students,” and it calls upon the citizens of Arkansas to pray for students, teachers, administrators, and schools.

Governor Hutchinson encourages all citizens of all faiths and backgrounds to voluntarily join in prayer for the success and safety of our students.
