Forensic nursing cases are not always straightforward.

The Advanced Forensic Nursing Skills Lab helps learners strengthen clinical decision-making and forensic nursing practice through realistic, hands-on scenarios that reflect challenges encountered in the field.

In this video, Dr. Laurie Charles discusses how participants navigate complex situations involving polyvictimization through human trafficking, patient consent for incarcerated individuals who report sexual assault and the delivery of safe, patient-centered care in correctional settings.

This online, self-paced course provides healthcare professionals with comprehensive education on the assessment, documentation, and response to interpersonal violence across clinical and forensic settings.

The course is available at no cost for IHS, Tribal, and Urban Indian learners. A special summer rate is also available for non-IHS participants for a limited time in celebration of Texas A&M University's 150th anniversary.

Another successful Mock Testimony Simulation is in the books.

Participants had the opportunity to strengthen courtroom testimony skills through realistic scenarios, direct and cross-examination exercises, and expert feedback designed to build confidence and credibility in legal proceedings.

Hands-on learning, realistic scenarios and person-centered care in action.

Learners recently completed our Person-Centered Adult Sexual Assault Simulation, engaging in hands-on training, virtual reality learning and realistic simulation experiences designed to strengthen clinical skills, trauma-informed communication and patient-centered practice.
