Join us for our first FFA meeting in August 26th in the Rudder Ag Building starting at 6:00 p.m., all members are welcome! We will be splashing into FFA we will recap our summer and tell you all new and exciting information for the upcoming school year. We hope to see you there. ✨ Hey Rudder FFA! Meet Ms. Rowe! 💕
I’m SO excited to be one of your new advisors and be a part of a great chapter! 
A few fun facts about me…
💗 Favorite colors: Pink & Black 🖤
➗ Favorite subject: Math (yes… I really said MATH 😂)
🎶 Favorite song: All-American Girl by Carrie Underwood
🤠 Outside of FFA, I love dancing, hunting, riding the Can-Am, and cooking/hanging out with my boyfriend!
Some of my favorite memories as an FFA member were our ag trips and never knowing what adventure our advisors had planned for us—from flat tires coming back from State Convention to all the “back in my day” stories 😂. Those experiences and advisors are a BIG reason I became an ag teacher! So, I went Tarleton, where I graduated with a degree in Agricultural Service and Development!
As an advisor, one of my favorite memories was being part of my students’ journey, especially when I witnessed one of them receive a $20,000 FFA scholarship.
This year, I’ll be coaching Quiz, Broadcasting, Vet Med, Floral, & Milk Quality! 🐄🌸🎤 
I’m ready for this new adventure with Rudder FFA, getting involved in our community, and most importantly, making some awesome memories with y’all! 💚💛

I’m Elizabeth Taylor, and I am so excited to be joining the Rudder FFA family! This year marks my 10th year teaching agricultural education, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to call Rudder home.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University and my master’s degree from Lamar University. Outside of school, I love traveling, spending time with my dogs, building LEGO sets, catching a Broadway show, and serving in my church.

This year, I’m looking forward to building relationships with our students and families, growing the Ranger Blooms floral program, and helping students discover their passions through agriculture and FFA. My hope is that every student who walks through our doors feels challenged, supported, and truly part of our Ranger family.

I can’t wait to meet you all and make this a fantastic year. Go Rangers!

Rudder FFA members Thursday, August 20th is the last day to buy tag for Lambs, Goats, and Heifers. In order to buy a tag you must go to the County Extension office located at 4153 County Park Ct. If you have any questions please reach out to any ag teacher and they will get you the information that you need!

🚨Mark your calendars! We have an exciting month ahead as we kick off a new school year with Rudder FFA.

Be sure to join us for our first Rudder FFA Chapter Meeting and Rudder FFA Booster Club Meeting on Wednesday, August 26 in the Ag Building!

We welcome all FFA members, prospective members, and parents to come learn what Rudder FFA and our Booster Club are all about. It's a great opportunity to meet the officers, advisors, and other FFA families, hear about upcoming events, and find out how you can get involved this year.

🚨Mark your calendars: August 20th is Fall Major Entry Night! If you are exhibiting your animals at the Heart of Texas Fair or State Fair of Texas through Rudder FFA join us in the Rudder Ag Building, so that we are able to get everyone registered in a timely manner!

Attention show exhibitors, tag orders for heifers, BCYLS steers, major lambs, BCYLS lambs, major goats, BCYLS goats, major boilers, and BCYLS boilers have open today! For any questions please reach out to an ag teacher and they will be able to get you the correct information.

Heifer tag orders are due 8/20 and are $27 each tag.
BCYLS steers tag orders are due 9/3 and are $5 each tag.
Major lamb and major goat tag orders are due 8/20 and are $27 each tag.
BCYLS lamb and BCYLS goat tag orders are due 8/20 and are $5 each tag.
Major swine tag orders are due 9/16 and are $27 each tag.
BCYLS swine tag orders are due 9/16 and are $5 each tag.
Major Boiler orders are due 9/3 and cost $37.50 per 25 chicks and you can order a max of 75.

This past week, Rudder FFA took on Fort Worth Texas at the 98th Annual Texas FFA State Convention. We were very fortunate to start the week off with Camryn Skaggs interviewing as a finalist for the Stars Over Texas Lonestar Agriculture Placement.

Then on Tuesday we had 13 students receive their Lonestar degrees: Anny Cruz; Olivia Davis; Amber De La Cruz, Arlen Flores; Natalie Gil Ortiz; Seelece Martinez; Joey McClendon; Hillary McGovern; Hazel Scott; Camryn Skaggs; Paige Waldrop; Chandler White; and Makaya Williams. Please help us congratulate these 13 individuals on their hard work! We also had five individuals who work tirelessly alongside our chapter earn their Honorary Lonestar Degrees. Help us congratulate; Mrs. Cathy Davis, Mrs. Jordan Scott, Mr. Bubba McGovern, Ms. Autumn Hagen, and Ms. Cassie Redding.

We were also fortunate enough to have a Senior Ambassador, Makaya Williams. Makaya reflected on her time as an ambassador and said, “as an ambassador, she worked behind the scenes with the Texas FFA Foundation to help support the sponsors of the Texas FFA. We learn servant leadership skills and put them to work by checking on sponsors and taking them backstage on time. The Ambassadors taught me how to build meaningful connections and serve others.”

Another one of our amazing students, Ashlynn Castillo, was a part of the Texas FFA Chorus. Ashlynn, was an integral part of the Texas FFA Chorus where they sang the national anthem at every session, and this year had the opportunity to sing the national anthem at the Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Angels’s game.

Finally, we rounded out the week with Camryn Skaggs and Olivia Davis walking across the stage for our Gold National Rank Chapter. Camryn Skaggs also walked the stage for being the Champion National Senior Prepared Speaker, and placing second in the Soil Stewardship Contest.

We are so excited for everything that our kids have done throughout the week and throughout the year. We cannot wait to see what this next school year brings!
