What a fun BCS Experience!

William got to celebrate his birthday in an extra special way with the “Sunny Birthday Buddy” BCS Experience from Browse*Bid*Bless! William’s class received a special visit from Sunny, and the birthday boy was surprised with a delicious chocolate treat and his very own Sunny look-alike plushie, complete with matching bandanas! 🐾

What a great day at our RS Retreat! We are so thankful for Steph Lee and Brian McCormack and the way they poured into our students today.

Steph encouraged our students to think about what it looks like to come to the One who truly knows us and has always been with us. She challenged them to guard their hearts, walk in humility, let go of the things we tend to hold so tightly, and trust God with the next step. Such a good reminder that real change happens from the inside out as we surrender our fears and receive His grace.

Brian spoke about identity and reminded our students that who we are isn’t determined by what our phones say, what others say, our accomplishments, our failures, our appearance, or the things we struggle with. Those things may be part of our story, but they don’t get to define us.

God does.

We are made in His image. We are loved. We are redeemed. And we are sent into the world to live out His purposes.

And a special thank you to Walter Glueck for leading us in worship today and helping create such a meaningful time for our students to turn their hearts toward the Lord. We are so grateful for the way he served our students and our school today.

So grateful our students had time to hear truth, worship together, ask important questions, and be reminded of who they are and whose they are.

Our prayer is that they leave encouraged to lay down what they’ve been carrying, trust God with what comes next, and take that next step of faith.

What a great start to a new school year! Our halls are full, classrooms are buzzing, and we’re so thankful to have our students, teachers, and families back together.

We’re excited for all that God has in store for the year ahead. Here’s to a fantastic year of learning, growing, and making memories together! 💙

Happy First Day of School!

We were grateful to hear from board member Michael Perkins during today’s devotional as he challenged us to begin this year desperate for Jesus.

Drawing from Mark 5:21–43, Michael reminded us that the lesson plan isn’t always the mission. Sometimes, the mission is the hurting or lost child who walks into our classroom needing to see a faith that desperately falls at the feet of Jesus.

May our classrooms be filled with that kind of faith, trusting that God gives us the power to believe, even in the midst of fear.

“Don’t be afraid; just believe.” Mark 5:36

What a powerful reminder as we begin a new school year!
