Making a difference, one screening at a time. đź©·
Some of our Aggie nurses recently volunteered at mammogram pre-screening events hosted by REACH, helping provide free breast screenings to more than 30 women across two events. We're so proud of their commitment to expanding access to preventive care in our community.

Meet our 2026 Outstanding Former Student: Mason Sterling '25 👨‍⚕️
Now an emergency room nurse at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas near his hometown of Orange, Mason graduated magna cm laude and studied at the College of Nursing’s site in Round Rock in the second-degree BSN program, where he served as a student ambassador and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the Student Nurses Critical Care Organization.
According to one of Sterling’s nominators: “He modeled professionalism, critical thinking and collaboration, becoming the kind of role model who inspires students to persevere and excel. His impact was deeply felt by faculty and students alike, and his contributions will continue to influence the culture of our program long after his graduation. He embodies the values of our profession, and his actions reflect great credit upon himself, the nursing program and the future of nursing education.”
Mason, pictured with Dean Dr. Leann Horsley, was honored at our annual Scholarship Appreciation Reception last month.
