Congratulations!

More than 80 years after military aviators trained at Bryan Army Air Field, aviation training is taking a new form on the same historic ground.

Today, RELLIS Campus and USI celebrated three graduates of the first Professional Remote Operator Program offered through the new partnership.

The students completed 12 weeks of online instruction before gathering at Texas A&M-RELLIS from Aug. 18-20 for three days of in-person instruction and hands-on flight training.

America’s race to build the next generation of nuclear energy is accelerating at Texas A&M-RELLIS Campus , where The Texas A&M University System signed agreements with Terrestrial Energy Inc. to advance the development of its planned small modular reactor.

The ground lease and research agreements give Terrestrial Energy site control over approximately 77 acres at A&M-RELLIS and support site characterization, environmental evaluations, testing and research activity connected to the company’s Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR).

The Texas A&M University System today recognized a major milestone in advanced nuclear energy development as Last Energy announced U.S. Department of Energy approval of the Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis for its PWR-5 pilot reactor project at the RELLIS Campus.

The approval marks an important step toward operation of the microreactor demonstration project now under construction at RELLIS, where the Texas A&M System is building one of the nation’s leading hubs for next-generation energy research, testing and workforce development.
