Students in Mrs. Matthies' SPCH 1311 Introduction to Speech Communication class have fun practicing their critical thinking and communication skills as they prepare to speak their opinions during a mini-debate!

Students from Mrs. Matthies' communication classes help our friends at the Brenham State Supporting Living Center enjoy a painting activity in their gym! These students chose to participate in a Service Learning project through their SPCH class which combines community service with classroom instruction. This engaging program allows students to focus on critical, reflective thinking and civic responsibility while addressing local needs and demonstrating commitment to their community.
